The founder of Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen, Sheik Daood Imran Molaasan, has accused the self-acclaimed Yoruba ethnic advocate, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, of making empty boast about having power to rescue the kidnapped students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Molaasan mocked Igboho who had last week accused the state governor, Seyi Makinde, of preventing him from joining the rescue operation for the teachers and students abducted at Ahoro Esinele and Yawota communities in Oriire LGA.
NPO Reported that the former Yoruba Nation agitator alleged that Makinde refused to grant him permission despite possession capacity to confront the kidnappers.
Reacting in a video shared on X on Thursday, Molaasan talked down Igboho’s claims.
The Islamic cleric held that if he had the power as he had claimed, there is no need to get the state government’s permission to enter the bush; disarm the suspected terrorists; and secure the release of the kidnap victims.
Molaasam challenged Igboho to live up to his boast and appear before the insurgents in the bush, stressing that those who incited the infamous Ife and Modakeke communal clash in Osun state were ordinary men with no criminal record.
“Those who created mayhem in Ife and Modakeke are not people who have killed before.
“If someone have power to confront them in the forest, will he tell anybody?
“He would have simply teleported to the kidnappers’ hideout and collect their guns while slapping them.” He said.
Molaasan recounted how Igboho fled from his residence on arrival of the Department of State Security (DSS) during his agitation for seccession.
The cleric warned against showing off with the terrorists.
“When DSS came to their house, they scaled the fence and run away.
“DSS is still merciful as they will shoot with care. But these ones have no mercy. They will blast your head with guns.” He said.
