An orderly attached to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Ekiti governorship candidate, Dare Bejide, has been harassed by security operatives amid alleged vote buying at the ongoing 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.
The incident occurred at Ekiti South West Local Government Area on Saturday shortly after the arrival of Bejide at his polling unit.
An altercation had reportedly ensued between the security aide of the ADC governorship candidate and other security personnel deployed to the polling.
A video shared on X captured moment the armed aide was dragged away from the polling unit by the security personnel.
Bejide, when asked by newsmen over the cause of the altercation, simply identify the harassed personnel as his orderly as he followed the security operatives.
The actual reason behind the clash however remains unclear as at the time of filing this report.
