The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of inducing voters with loaves of bread ahead of the Saturday election.
ADC Vanguard, the party’s mobilisation wing, made the allegation in a post shared on its X handle on Friday.
Attached to the post was a video capturing occupant of an APC campaign bus throwing loaves of bread to residents as they drove past the community.
The ADC Vanguard accused the APC of using poverty as campaign strategy as it expressed confidence in voters’ readiness to exercise their franchise at the poll with their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).

NPO Reported that the Ekiti state election is slated to commence on Saturday with voting billed to start from 8:30am till 2:30pm.
The ADC’s candidate, Dare Abejide, seeks to overthrow the incumbent governor, Biodun Oyebanji, who is seeking a second term in office.
Both parties had earlier this week concluded their campaigns with APC’s mega rally having in attendance Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the party’s governors’ forum amongst others.
Similarly, ADC concluded its campaign on Thursday with the party’s National Chairman, Sen. David Mark, and National Secretary, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, in attendance to support Abejide.
