Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has reacted to the recent attack in Oyo State where gunmen invaded schools in the Ahoro Esinle area of Oriire Local Government and abducted students and teachers, with one teacher later killed in captivity.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the armed men stormed Community High School and other nearby schools during the attack, abducting the principal, teachers and students.
One of the abducted teachers, Michael Oyedokun, was later killed by the kidnappers, an incident that has sparked outrage and fear across the state.
Reacting via his Instagram page, Kunle Remi expressed deep sadness over the incident, questioning how such tragedies have become normal in society.
He described the killing of a teacher and the abduction of children as painful and unacceptable, stressing that citizens should not be living in fear in their own communities.
He also criticized the quick shift of public attention from such violent incidents to politics and other issues, saying it raises questions about leadership and the value placed on human life.
The actor added that the repeated violence, trauma suffered by families, and loss of lives show a disturbing pattern that should not be ignored.
He called for justice, peace, and stronger protection for citizens, saying human lives should come before political interests.
