French Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais are seriously interested in signing Nigerian attacker Zadok Yohanna, Soccernet.ng reports.
Yohanna has been attracting significant attention from several clubs across Europe’s top five leagues in recent months. The 18-year-old winger became a regular for AIK Stockholm this season, delivering simply brilliant performances.
It hasn’t just been about his two goals and three assists in seven Allsvenskan appearances. The young Nigerian has been electric with the ball at his feet—adept at dribbling and entirely fearless against defenders.
Aside from the transfer links, Yohanna also recently earned his first Super Eagles call-up, although AIK refused to release him for international duty. Meanwhile, there is a strong possibility that Yohanna will secure a major move during the summer transfer window.
Rennes See Zadok Yohanna as The Next Ademola Lookman
According to a recent report by Live Foot, Rennes are seriously considering a move for Yohanna.
They view the Nigerian youngster as the next “Ademola Lookman” and are fully willing to invest in his potential.

The Red and Blacks are renowned as a developmental club that invests in young talent and sells them once they reach stardom. A prime example is Jérémy Doku, whom they bought from Anderlecht for €26 million in 2020 and later sold to Manchester City for €60 million.
Stade Rennais believe that Yohanna could follow a similar path in a short period, which is why they are ready to make a significant financial commitment.

For the youngster, this appears to be an ideal destination. Joining Rennes would allow him to develop without the intense pressure and blinding spotlight of an elite heavyweight club.
Nonetheless, if Rennes want to secure his signature, they will have to move quickly. Competitors like RB Leipzig are also lurking, offering another excellent environment for growth where he can rub shoulders with world-class players.
