In a statement issued by its Executive Director, Okechukwu Nwanguma, RULAAC extended condolences to the Inspector-General of Police, officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, and particularly personnel of Zone 9 Headquarters, Umuahia, and the Abia State Police Command where the late officer served.
The group said it received news of AIG Uzuegbu’s death with “deep sadness,” noting that he died after a battle with cancer.
RULAAC described the late officer as a dedicated and professional policeman who served Nigeria with commitment throughout his career. The organization said he contributed significantly to law enforcement, public safety, and order during his years in service.
“AIG Uzuegbu served his country with dedication and professionalism. His death has created a vacuum in the Force and among his colleagues,” the statement read.
RULAAC also commiserated with the family of the late officer, praying for God’s strength and comfort for them.
“We pray that Almighty God grants AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu eternal rest and gives his family, friends and colleagues the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” Nwanguma said.
