A public policy analyst and political communications strategist, Kenny Okolugbo, says Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara should never have bought form second term.
Okolugbo made this statement on Thursday during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’.
He said that Fubara’s predecessor and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike made it clear that there was an agreement of Fubara not going for a second term.
Recall that Governor Fubara opted out from the All Progressives Congress, APC, primaries ahead of the next year’s general elections on the eve of the exercise.
Airing his own opinion, Okolugbo said Fubara should never have never bought the form for a second term.
“Wike made it very clear and didn’t hide the fact that there was an agreement of Fubara not going for a second term.
“But the more time drew closer, the more it looked like Fubara was going to breech the agreement.
“When you have 30 members of the House of Assembly and 27 of them are against you, you must try to poach them and if you can’t poach them, then you must capitulate,” he stated.
