The Imo State Police Command says it has arrested two suspects over the killing of a female nursing student, Wendy Achumba, in Umulogho community, Obowo Local Government Area of the state.

The police said the suspects, Onyema Okonkwo, 32, and Emmanuel Onyekachi, 25, were arrested following intelligence-led investigations carried out in collaboration with community members.

The victim, who hailed from Abia State, was a student of the College of Nursing Sciences in Umuadara village, Umulogho.

Achumba’s body was reportedly found on Thursday evening in her hostel room in the Umulogho community.

She was said to have completed her midwifery programme and was undergoing post-basic training at the institution before the incident.
