The party, in a statement on Tuesday, jointly signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong and National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Dakas Shan, said the amendment follows increasing demands from aspirants.

While noting that the announced amendment will be final due to the need to meet the schedule of activities and timetable announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , the PDP urged all concerned to comply with the adjusted dates.

PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the PDP has fixed May 22, 2026, as the last date for the submission of completed forms, while primaries for all offices have been fixed for May 28, 2026.
