Oyo: Family Of Beheaded Teacher Makes Demand From Tinubu

The family of the kidnapped and beheaded teacher of Community High School, Ohoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, late Oyedokun Michael Olugbade, has made an appeal to President Bola Tinubu, demanding the recovery of their son’s body for proper burial.

PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the family made the demand on Monday in a letter through their lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, dated May 25, 2026, with the subject: ‘Request for the urgent intervention in the tragic kidnapping, brutal murder and beheading of the late Mr. Oyedokun Michael Olugbade, one of the Abducted Teachers of Community High School, Ohoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State’.

The family also urged Tinubu to treat their request with utmost urgency, which their late brother deserves, because he was in active service before the ugly incident occurred, and bring those behind the heinous crime to justice.

The letter read, “We write to formally bring to the attention of His Excellency the tragic kidnapping, brutal murder and beheading of the late Mr. Oyedokun Michael Olugbade One of the Abducted Teachers of Community High School, Ohoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, by suspected terrorists on the 15 th day of May 2026.

“It is our clients’ information that late Mr. Oyedokun Michael Olugbade was a peaceful and diligent teacher at Community High School, Ohoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, whose life was cruelly and violently cut short under heartbreaking and inhuman circumstances. He is also survived by his wife and two sons, who have been left traumatized by the gruesome manner of his death.

“Despite widespread national regarding the death of the late Mr. Oyedokun Michael Olugbade, his remains are yet to be seen or recovered. In this distressing circumstances, we respectfully appeal for Your Excellency’s urgent intervention to direct the relevant security and intelligence agencies towards locating and recovering his body, so that his family maybe afforded the solemn opportunity to conduct a dignified burial and rescue other victims still in captivity.”
