Nigerian Afrobeats star, Adekunle Gold, debunked reports that he and his wife, Simi, recently welcomed twins.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that Adekunle Gold, in a recent episode of the Great Day 20 podcast, clarified that, contrary to rumours online, they welcomed a boy.
He said, “My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it is just internet rumours. We have a son.”
The ‘Rodo’ croner also disclosed that their 5-year-old daughter, Adejare Kosoko, is already exhibiting traits of a potential musician.
Adekunle Gold said he has noticed his daughter’s interest in music, stressing that she could become a musician in the future.
He added, “It is interesting to be married to another fantastic singer-songwriter and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well.”
Meanwhile, Adekunle Gold recently spoke about his decision to stay away from trouble and live a calm life.
In a video shared on social media by an 𝕏 user, the Orente singer said he does not like conflict and prefers to focus on living peacefully.
He explained that he does everything possible to avoid being close to problems because he only wants a quiet and steady life.
The singer said he understands his own nature very well and knows that he can easily say things he may later regret when situations become tense.
For this reason, he often removes himself from arguments before they grow into bigger issues.
Adekunle Gold added that choosing to walk away from trouble does not mean he is weak or unable to defend himself when needed.
