Abducted school principal, Mrs Alamu, has warned that the terrorists who recently kidnapped her, along with several teachers and students in Oyo State, are becoming increasingly impatient and are threatening to harm another captive.
She made this known in a newly released distress video, in which she appealed to the Oyo State government, the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), and President Bola Tinubu for urgent intervention.
Speaking from captivity, Alamu said the teachers and schoolchildren who were kidnapped by the bandits have been exposed to harsh weather conditions for weeks.
She urged authorities and Nigerians to help secure their release before the situation worsens.

She also pleaded with the government to negotiate with their abductors rather than resort to the use of force in trying to rescue them.
Speaking in the video, which has now gone viral, she said: “Please help us. I am calling on the NUT to help us, to talk to them. You don’t need force; all they have to do is negotiate with them and release us. We are in the cold, we are under the sun. Please, we are begging you.”
On 15 May 2026, several pupils and teachers were abducted from the Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota communities in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Following the incident, one of the abductees—a teacher in Oyo State identified as Michael Oyedokun—was reportedly killed by the bandits.
