The Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has announced the deployment of 1,000 officers to key locations across the state in preparation for the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
According to a statement by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada, the deployed personnel will be positioned at Eid prayer grounds, major highways, and recreational centres, among other strategic locations.
The agency’s Managing Director, Faisal Mahmud Kabir, described the deployment as part of KAROTA’s ongoing commitment to maintaining order and ensuring the safety of all road users during the festive period.
He assured the public that officers would be on ground at all critical points to guide motorists and keep traffic moving smoothly, with the aim of reducing congestion throughout the Sallah period.
He also appealed to motorists and road users to work with traffic officials and adhere to traffic regulations in order to avoid unnecessary delays and prevent accidents.
The Head of Operations, Auwal Shehu Muhammad Kofar Mata, similarly urged residents to celebrate responsibly and lend their support to the agency’s efforts.
He also conveyed the Managing Director’s warm wishes to all residents for a peaceful and safe Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
KAROTA reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring a smooth and incident-free festive season across Kano State.
