The Minister of Defense, General Christopher Musa has reaffirmed the critical role of spiritual and moral supports in strengthening military resolve to protect Nigeria in the ongoing fight against insecurity across the country.

In a statement by the Minister’s Special Assistant on Media Leah Katung-Babatunde, Gen Musa re-emphasized the place of moral support to the troops while receiving the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, on a visit to the Ministry of Defence Headquarters, Abuja.

General Musa noted that the fight against insurgency, banditry, terrorism and other forms of criminality requires a whole-societal approach, stressing that the prayers and encouragement from religious bodies also continue to boost the morale of troops deployed in various theatres of operation nationwide.

He emphasized that the Armed Forces remain committed to defending the nation’s territorial integrity and safeguarding the lives and property of all Nigerians. He therefore urged religious leaders to continue to promote unity, patriotism and national cohesion in their congregational engagements.
