Celebrity businessman and Imo State Director of the City Boy Movement (CBM), Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has reacted to his loss in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election.
In a trending video clip currently making the rounds, the socialite expressed regret over venturing into the political contest.
In late April 2026, the nightlife promoter formally declared his ambition to vie for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives for the 2027 general elections, subsequently purchasing the APC’s expression of interest and nomination forms.
However, he lost the party ticket after securing only 14 votes. The ticket was won by Canice Moore Nwachukwu, the incumbent representative of the constituency who is currently serving his second term.

Following the outcome of the party primary, the socialite was widely mocked by netizens for failing to secure the APC ticket despite his staunch support for President Bola Tinubu.
Reacting to the loss, Cubana Chief Priest noted that his only regret was trusting the elders in his community.
He said: “I’m a hustler, and I don’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community.
“I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary.”
