No fewer than 47 senatorial aspirants have been disqualified from participating in the All Progressive Congress (APC) Senate Primary Elections.
Ahead of the primaries slated to hold today, the APC released the full list of the aspirants who were not cleared by the party’s screening committee to contest in the elections.
Leading the disqualified aspirants in the list released by the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, was former Bayelsa lawmaker, Sen. Ben Murray Bruce.
The ex-lawmaker who represented Bayelsa East Senatorial District, was not cleared by the screening committee.
Also disqualified by the screening committee is Ajimobi Wasiu Adegboyega, the brother of late former Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
Other aspirants disqualified include Sen. Benson Agadaga, Sen. Garba Musa Mai Doki, Bello Bawa Bwari, and Daniel Effiong.
