The All Progressive Congress has postponed the House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections.
This was announced in a press statement issued on Thursday by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the primary election is postponed till the 16th of May, 2026.
Meanwhile, previous dates for the Senate, State House of Assembly, Governorship and Presidential primaries remain unchanged.
The Senate primaries remains slated for Monday, 18th May, 2026 while the State House of Assembly primaries will hold on Wednesday, 20th May, 2026
The Governorship primaries would follow Thursday, 21st May, 2026 while the Presidential primaroes will hold on Saturday, 23rd May, 2026.
