Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has won the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Primaries in Osun state.
The results were announced on Tuesday by the committee chairman, Olusola Adepoju in charge of the exercise.
As contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the spokesperson for Osun ADC, Oluwaseun Abosede, Atiku emerged as the winner with 12,321 votes, defeating Hayatu Deen Muhammed, who polled 4,000 votes.
Om the other hand, Ex Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, came third with a total of 679 votes.
“Atiku Abubakar won the entire 30 LGAs in the state.
“He polled 12,321 out of 17,000 total votes cast in the primary. He was followed by Hayatu deen MUHAMMED with over 4,000 votes, while Rotimi Amaechi polled 679 votes.” Abosede said.
According to reports, the results of 10 states have been announced by the party with Atiku leading the poll.
