Akpabio’s Daughter-in-Law Declares Interest in Senate Race

Mrs. Pat Ibanga Akpabio, daughter-in-law of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has announced her intention to contest for the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

She made the declaration after securing the nomination and expression of interest forms of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a move that has already generated discussions across political circles in Akwa Ibom State.

Speaking during a meeting with supporters and party stakeholders in Ukana Ikot Ntuen, Essien Udim Local Government Area, Mrs. Akpabio said she is fully prepared for the Senate race and committed to serving the people of the district. She explained that her ambition is driven by a desire to give stronger representation to women, youths, and underserved communities.

The Senate hopeful expressed gratitude to supporters who have continued to encourage her political journey. She also acknowledged the support of her husband, Chief Ibanga Udo Akpabio II, describing him as a strong pillar behind her aspiration.
