The Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has been elected the sole All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the party’s primary in the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District.
The primary election was held on Monday ahead of the 2027 general elections.
DAILY POST reports that Akpabio is currently serving as the 15th president of the Nigerian Senate.
He was first elected as Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District in 2015, lost in the 2019 senatorial elections and won in the 2023 elections.
