A presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, met with a former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Friday.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that Hayatu-Deen disclosed the meeting in a post on his 𝕏 handle.
According to him, the discussion focused on unity, shared purpose and the need for leaders in the ADC to place Nigeria above personal ambition.
Hayatu-Deen said the meeting with Amaechi centred on collaboration and the responsibility of political leaders to work together for the country.
He wrote, “Spent time with my friend, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi,
“Our discussion centred on unity, shared purpose, and the responsibility we carry as leaders within the ADC to put Nigeria first.
“Beyond ambition, this moment calls for collaboration, mutual respect, and a collective commitment to rebuild our country.”
Hayatu-Deen and Amaechi are among the prominent political figures being linked to coalition efforts under the ADC platform.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that this meeting comes weeks after Hayatu-Deen declared his intention to contest for the ADC presidential ticket, promising to tackle economic hardship, insecurity, and governance challenges.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television, Hayatu-Deen said Nigerians are grappling with rising living costs and worsening insecurity, stressing that the country needs urgent leadership intervention.
