DANJUMA Sarki, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Zonkwa Constituency seat in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has pledged to deliver effective representation if elected in 2027.
Sarki made the pledge shortly after emerging as the party’s candidate with 321 affirmation votes as the sole aspirant during the PDP primary election held in Zonkwa, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.
He said he has built strong connections within and outside Kaduna State and intends to leverage them to attract meaningful development and opportunities to the constituency.
Sarki assured party faithful of his commitment to justify the confidence reposed in him and urged members to remain united and committed to the party’s success in the forthcoming elections.
He expressed appreciation to party members, stakeholders, and residents of Zonkwa for their support and trust.
Announcing the results, the Returning Officer, Marcus Maan, said the exercise was conducted in line with the party’s guidelines and democratic procedures.
“Danjuma Sarki is hereby declared the winner after polling 321 votes across the five wards that make up the constituency,” he said.
Maan added that the outcome reflected the confidence and trust party members have in Sarki’s leadership capacity, competence, and commitment to serving the people.
Speaking with newsmen after the exercise, the PDP Chairman in Zangon Kataf LGA, Martins Koyah, commended party members for their unity and commitment throughout the process.
He described Sarki as a dedicated party loyalist with the capacity and experience to effectively represent the constituency’s interests.
Koyah urged members and supporters to close ranks and work toward securing victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) monitored the exercise to ensure compliance with electoral guidelines. (NAN)
