The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has urged residents of Abuja to enjoy a fun-filled Easter, assuring them of adequate security throughout the festive period and beyond.
The former Rivers State governor gave this assurance recently during his official Easter message.
According to Wike, the FCT Administration has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of all residents.
Wike stated: “As you celebrate this joyous occasion, I want to assure you that the FCT Administration is committed to your safety and security.
“Adequate measures are in place to guarantee a peaceful and enjoyable Easter, allowing you to focus on what matters most: family, friends, and faith.”

He further advised residents, particularly the Christian community, to use the season as an opportunity to renew their commitment to love, service, and national unity.
“To FCT residents, especially our Christian brothers and sisters, I wish you a Happy Easter. May this be a time for reflection, prayer, and demonstrating Christlike love and care to those around you. May this Easter bring hope, love, and redemption to your lives, and may the joy of the season fill your hearts and homes.
“As we celebrate, let us remember the values of love, compassion, and kindness that Easter represents. May we continue to work together towards building a community that reflects these values, where everyone can live in peace and prosperity,” he added.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the ongoing infrastructural developments in the FCT under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“I would also like to use this opportunity to express my appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose Renewed Hope Agenda has driven significant development in the FCT.
“His commitment to the progress of the Territory is evident in the numerous infrastructure projects currently transforming our city, and I am proud to be part of this journey towards a more prosperous and harmonious FCT. Once again, I wish you all a Happy Easter and a peaceful celebration,” Wike concluded.
