Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama has spoken about her love for female circumcision.
In an Instagram live session with medical personality, Daddy Freeze, she revealed that she was circumcised while she was living in the village with her grandmother.
Victoria declared that it was the best thing that had happened to her because it had given her power. According to the actress, female circumcision is the power she holds over men, as when she doesn’t want intimacy, no one can force her.
The veteran stressed that circumcision was the best thing her grandmother did for her, as no one can say they caught her in a hotel.
“Yes, I was circumcised. Because I grew up in the village with my grandmother, that is what is helping me. That’s the best thing they did for me. I swear to God because if I say I am not doing, I am not doing. And that is the power that I have as a woman, and anybody who tries me, I will give you back. No one can say they saw me in hotels. That’s the best thing my grandmother did for me”.
Last year, during Annie Idibia’s crashed marriage to 2baba, Inyama told her that if she ever doubts herself, she should use her as a role model, noting how she rose from what life threw at her. Victoria admonished her to rule and reign, and that the universe was her oyster.
In 2024, Victoria spoke out about her crashed marriage to her ex-husband and father of her kids, Godwin Okrim. She recounted how he always brought his girlfriends to their matrimonial home to torment her and how he threatened to either kill her or put her in jail. Victoria alleged that her ex physically, mentally, and psychologically abused her, and at times, she always questioned what she did wrong to end up with him.
Elsewhere in the interview, she recounted how her ex-husband would always beat her anytime Manchester United lost a match. She said she still deals with the trauma to date and added that her son was aware of the trauma she went through, and they would laugh over it.
Recall that in an Instagram chat in 2020, she recounted the horrific experience she went through, and how her ex humiliated her and maltreated her. Inyama recounted how he fed their son food he was allergic to, dislocated the arms of their daughter, and arrested her in the presence of their kids.
Despite all she went through, Victoria stated that she doesn’t regret abandoning her acting career for her marriage because of the three kids they had.
Following her break from the movie scene, in 2023, Victoria made a huge comeback with the premiere of her movie. The movie star announced her return to the industry, revealing how her life unfolded and how she found her second purpose, which has been helpful to many.
