Nigerian music star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has spoken out following his historic Coachella debut.
On Saturday, the singer made his debut at the ongoing Coachella festival, where he played some of his hit songs, If, Skelewu, Dami Duro and more.
Taking to his Instagram page to share clips from the festival, he noted how he brought culture to the forefront. Davido appreciated fans for rocking with him and promised to entertain more next week.

Kemi Filani reported last year that Davido was announced as one of the performers at Coachella 2026, becoming the only Nigerian artist featured in its lineup.
With Coachella widely regarded as the most popular music festival in the world, Davido’s presence on the 2026 bill represents a new level of international recognition.
Joining the singer in the 2026 lineup as the headliners are music heavyweights such as Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and Anyma, all returning Coachella veterans. The festival will take place across two weekends: April 10–12 and April 17–19 in Indio, California.
Reacting to the news, Chioma, shared a screenshot of the poster via her Instagram story, accompanied by crying and fire emojis.
Last week, Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, reflected on his journey, noting that Davido ran from school to chase his dream and that the school is telling that story.
Over the years, Davido has proven himself to be one of the greatest of his time. He has had several successful albums and shows that pulled in thousands of fans.
Last September, the singer achieved a major milestone in his career, reaching the Billboard 2024 Honor Roll for topping the streaming charts. The singer was the only Nigerian singer to make it to the list, which was quite a big deal for any artist at all.
Davido had bragged as he reflected on his musical journey. In a tweet, he said that since he entered the game, nobody has had peace, and admitted that he loved that effect.
Also, last year, the Grammy nominee noted how people always come together to discredit him. However, God was working overtime for him.
