Security operatives in Edo State have arrested two suspects and uncovered a kidnappers’ hideout during a coordinated raid in Amah community, Etsako West Local Government Area.
The operation, led by the Principal Security Officer to Governor Monday Okpebholo, Saturday Okoh, involved a joint team of the Edo State Special Security Squad, Edo State Security Corps, and the Nigeria Police Force.
Authorities say the raid was based on credible intelligence targeting a suspected kingpin known as “Best,” who is still on the run.
Spokesperson of the Special Security Squad, Eribo Enwata, confirmed the arrests, while Zonal Commander of the Edo State Security Corps, Joel Aidamebor, alleged that the fugitive has been coordinating kidnapping activities across several forest locations.
The development is part of ongoing efforts by the state government to dismantle criminal networks and strengthen security across Edo.
