NSCDC new Commandant in Kwara pledges to protect lives, properties to provide security for lives and properties in the state.
Nda-Mohammed assumed duty in Kwara following the redeployment of his predecessor, Commandant Bala Bodinga, to the National Headquarters, Abuja.
The new commandant, in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Shola Ayoola, on Tuesday, in Ilorin, reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to protect lives, property, safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure in Kwara.
He warned criminal elements, vandals, and economic saboteurs to steer clear of the state, emphasising that the command would also adopt proactive and decisive measures to combat all forms of criminality.
“Kwara will not be a safe haven for criminals. We are fully prepared to deploy all necessary operational strategies to ensure the safety and security of lives and properties,” he said.
Commandant Nda-Mohammed further pledged to strengthen collaboration with sister security agencies, traditional institutions, and relevant stakeholders to sustain peace and security in the state.
He urged members of the public to remain vigilant and support security agencies with timely and credible information.
The statement said that the new commandant previously served as Commandant, Zone 4 Headquarters, Minna, before his deployment to Kwara.
“Commandant Nda-Mohammed is a seasoned security professional with over two decades of experience in the NSCDC.
“He has served in several strategic capacities, including Zone 4 Headquarters, Minna, Head of Operation, Kwara Command, Head of Anti-Vandal Unit, Niger State and Area Commander, Kainji.
“He was also the Divisional Officer, Edati Local Government Area, Head of Counter-Terrorism Unit, Zamfara and held other leadership roles within the FCT Command,” Ayoola said. (NAN)www.nannews.ng
