DONALD Trump has announced a 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel.
The peace agreement will begin tonight at 10pm tonight, the US President said.
In a post announcing the agreement, Trump said he has spoken with both Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun and Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu.
“These two Leaders have agreed that in order to achieve PEACE between their Countries, they will formally begin a 10 Day CEASEFIRE at 5 P.M. EST”, he said.
The US president hinted at peace negotiations between the two nations on Wednesday.
In a post on Truth Social the US President said: “Trying to get a little breathing room between Israel and Lebanon.

“It has been a long time since the two leaders have spoken, like 34 years.”
Netanyahu and Aoun are expected to hold talks after the ceasefire begins.
The surprise meeting between the two nations would be the first since 1993.
