Nigerian media personality Patrick Doyle has welcomed a child with his new wife, Funmilayo.
The ex-husband of Ireti Doyle shared the good news on his Facebook page on Saturday night, revealing that he and his wife welcomed a baby girl, Omayinuwa Mayen Harriet Doyle.
He disclosed that his wife and their newborn are doing well, and he is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to God Almighty.
“To the glory of God, I announce the precious addition of a female child to my quiver. OMAYINUWA MAYEN HARRIET DOYLE was born yesterday at about 10:40 AM. Mother and child are doing well, and daddy is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to God Almighty”.
Refreshing your memory, news made rounds in January 2023, Patrick had found love in the arms of another woman. A photo of him in the registry with his new wife went viral as they legally tied the knot.
Months later, Patrick confirmed the news as he gushed over his new wife while marking Mother’s Day. He appreciated the four women in his life – his late mother, his late elder sisters, his late wife, and his new wife. According to him, he has never been happier as his wife has been his new mother, friend, and partner.
Tacking him, actress, Uche Ebere slammed him for running faster than his shadow, telling him to wait for 10 years or 15 years before he conclude whether he has never been happier.
Unbothered by her comment, Doyle appreciated her making him happy. Expressing gratitude to his new wife, he explained the meaning of her name and affirmed that his wife has indeed given him joy. According to him, he has never been happier in all his life, and he has God to thank for bringing her into his life.
The couple had gone on to tie the knot in December and Patrick Doyle had shared photos from the intimate wedding ceremony.
In a sweet post, Patrick sang the praises of his new wife over her cooking skills. He stated that, after his sweetheart, no woman has cooked him better meals.
Recall that Patrick was married to popular actress, Ireti Doyle. The couple tied the knot in 2004, and their divorce was confirmed by the actress in 2023. Ireti, in a social media post, officially announced that she had divorced her husband, but she is still keeping his name because she had spent years building her brand on it.
The movie star opened up on why she still bears her husband’s surname. She said that the name ‘Ireti Doyle’ is now hers as it’s a name that is nearly 30 years in the making.
Patrick, in an interview, opened up on their divorce, revealing that he harbours no ill feelings towards his ex-wife, even though the outcome of their marriage wasn’t pleasant. Addressing a shady post he made months back, he clarified that it wasn’t a shade on Ireti, and praised the veteran, stating she is a first-class provider and mother to her children.
In a recent interview, Ireti revealed why she and her husband didn’t attack each other after their divorce, saying it wasn’t anyone’s business to know what was going on. She noted that social media users don’t care about people and that no one wins on the internet. She said she wouldn’t give herself up as clickbait or perform for them.
