Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has opened up on her faith, religion, and her personal walk with God.

PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the Sabi Girl crooner spoke during a live session with social media personality Jarvis.

During the livestream, she spoke about her spiritual life and explained that her connection with God is not only tied to church attendance.

She said her faith is something she practices in her daily life and is not limited to religious gatherings.

Ayra Starr added that she is still on a journey of growth and tries her best to live in a way that reflects Christ-like values, even though she believes she is not yet where she wants to be spiritually.

She also shared that her relationship with God and the Holy Spirit is personal to her and does not depend only on formal religious settings.

According to her, she has built a way of practising her faith that feels natural and meaningful to her.

She said, “I can only try to be as perfect as Jesus is. I am not there yet but I’m trying my best. I have a very close relationship with God and the Holy Spirit and it doesn’t come with me only being in church.

“You know, everything that comes with religion is kind of limiting. God says let it be unto you according to your faith. I have found a way that works for me. I have found a way that works with me, and that is what is working for me, and I am fine with it for now.”
