Nollywood actor, Zubby Michael, has said he does not believe in paying tithe to the church.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that Zubby made this known during an interview with Broadway TV, declaring himself the richest actor.
The movie star claimed that he recently earned ₦102 million from movie roles and donated ₦10.2 million to the needy on the street as a tithe.
He further explained that he made the donation to the needy because he does not go to church or believe in paying tithes there.
He said, “Not to brag but I am the richest actor. The last time I checked my book, I realised that I have made N102 million from artist’s fee lately. Not in my whole career but just of recent.
“I donated N10.2 million, which is 10 per cent of the money to the needy on the street.
“I don’t pay tithe to the church. I don’t go to the church. I don’t believe in paying tithe to the church.”
In other news, Nollywood actor, Daniel Etim Effiong has spoken about an experience in church that he said deeply affected him and made him reflect more on his Christian faith.
The actor shared the story during a podcast interview with Ifedayo Agoro, explaining that the incident occurred before a Sunday service. According to him, he arrived early at the church and met some of the ministers present.
Effiong said he greeted a female pastor and hugged her, but immediately noticed something unusual. He observed that her body seemed to be shaking in a way he could not understand.
He explained that shortly after, he went into the main auditorium and sat down, but then began to feel a similar sensation in his own body. He said the feeling came suddenly, even though there was no prayer session or special activity at the time
