STRATEGIC Outsourcing Ltd. SOL has addressed social media claims about its pilot work with AfriMillions, stating that it remains the sole employer responsible for all personnel involved in the marketing initiative.
The Managing Director of SOL, Dr Olufemi Ogunlowo, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.
He noted that AfriMillions had no role in payroll, benefits or employment contracts, and described such claims as inaccurate and a misrepresentation of the agreement.
“The claims suggesting that AfriMillions is accountable for these matters are factually incorrect and misrepresent the contractual arrangement,” he said.
Ogunlowo explained that SOL is fully responsible for paying all legitimately engaged personnel according to agreed terms, and dismissed reports of a two-month unpaid period.
He noted that the exercise was a one-month pilot designed to assess operations for a potential long-term programme.
“Any assertion of a two-month engagement is inaccurate and misleading,” he said.
He said a social media user who claimed to be related to a canvasser could not be verified in the company’s records, adding that the allegations might be aimed at damaging the company’s reputation.
Ogunlowo urged individuals with genuine payment concerns to contact the company’s Jibowu Coordination Office or official client service channels for resolution.
He noted that “terms such as ‘scam’ and ‘scammer’ constitute actionable defamation,” and advised that disputes should be handled through proper channels rather than social media. NAN
