Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Iyiola Afod, better known as Kunle Afod, has berated the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for leaving the state’s hospitals, roads, and schools in a state of disrepair.

The thespian called the Governor out on Monday evening in a now-viral video shared on social media.

According to Afod, the neglect of these infrastructures and other amenities has had an adverse effect on the livelihoods of the people in the Ose Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

The actor, who has been pleading with the state government for almost a month, further noted that while some communities in the state have been without power for the past 20 years, Idoani has been in darkness for eight years.

He also alleged that no bank is currently operating in the community and called on Aiyedatiwa to work with the Ose local council chairman and the lawmakers representing the area.

Speaking in the trending video, Afod said: “Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, you think I will keep quiet if you ignore my plea for Ose Local Government? No, I’m not keeping quiet. I’m calling again on the Chairman of Ose Local Government, Hon. C.K. Ojo—let’s watch this video together. This is CAC Nursery and Primary School in Idoani; look at another school under the same Ose LGA.

“All the teachers have run away, and the children in these communities no longer attend school. There are no accessible roads to the communities, yet you are at peace managing the resources of the state poorly as you please. There is no accessible road to any of the communities in Ose LG.

“The healthcare system is totally broken; they have closed down all the general hospitals in Idoani. There is no commercial bank in this area anymore. Governor Aiyedatiwa, call the Chairman, the House of Representatives members, those in the House of Assembly, and the Senator for that constituency and work with them. How long will Ose Local Government continue like this?”
