Royce Reed appears to be reacting to the latest development in Dwight Howard’s personal life.
On Monday, the former Basketball Wives star shared a message on her Instagram Story shortly after news broke that Howard had filed for divorce from his wife, Amy Luciani. Reed posted a screenshot from the film Rocky IV showing a character shouting, “Throw the damn towel!” and added her own short reaction.
“Yikes!” she wrote.
Howard and Luciani both cited their marriage as “irretrievably broken” in divorce filings. The pair reportedly disagrees on how assets should be handled, with Luciani requesting an equitable division and alimony while Howard contests those terms.
Luciani also addressed the situation publicly in a social media comment, suggesting that the couple’s separation is less important than concerns about their family.
“Us adults will be ok, but the kids need better,” she wrote. “This too shall pass.”
The divorce comes after Luciani posted a video online detailing allegations about the former NBA star and their relationship. During the emotional clip, she spoke about challenges in their marriage and the pressure she felt to stay in the relationship.
Howard has not publicly addressed Reed’s recent post.
