Rick Ross has taken legal action over a film connected to Remy Ma and has sent the fellow rapper a cease-and-desist letter.

In a letter obtained by TMZ, the rapper is asking Remy Ma not to move forward with her upcoming project, The Biggest Boss. Ross claims the film includes references to his brand and music without proper authorization.

The title itself is very similar to one of Ross’s well-known nicknames, which he has built into a major part of his identity in hip hop. In the letter, Ross also expressed concern that online discussion may have led some fans to believe he was involved in the project.

A representative for Remy Ma responded, saying the situation was not intentional.

“Remy was personally unaware of the concerns raised regarding The Biggest Boss and takes the matter seriously,” the rep said. “She would never intentionally engage in any action that could harm his brand.”

The statement also noted that Remy and Ross have maintained a relationship for more than two decades.

The film reportedly centers on a police officer who adopts the persona of a drug dealer before transitioning into a rap career, a storyline that has drawn comparisons to Ross’ own path.

Remy has since reached out directly to Ross, and the film’s title has been removed from her platform as discussions continue.
