Pink is shutting down split rumors with her signature humor.
After reports surfaced claiming she and husband Carey Hart had ended their 20-year marriage, the singer took to Instagram to set the record straight.
“I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband,” Pink said in a Feb. 26 video. “I didn’t know.”
The Grammy winner, 46, joked that their children, Willow, 14, and Jameson, 9, were also apparently in the dark.
“Would you also like to tell our children?” she quipped. “Do you want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?”
Pink called the breakup chatter “fake news” and insisted it is “not true,” adding, “You can do better.”
The rumors gained traction late last year after Pink reflected on leaving hurt behind in a New Year’s message that some fans interpreted as a sign of personal upheaval. At the time, she shared that she was preparing for neck surgery while Hart and their kids were snowboarding.
Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, has been open about the ups and downs in her marriage. But if her latest message is any indication, she and Carey Hart are still very much together.
