The development comes just days after the Benin Traditional Council declared him wanted over his earlier visit to the Benin Palace, which was said to have breached palace rules.

A chief was suspended, while other members of the royal household faced sanctions for their roles in allowing the unauthorized access.

Peller has also been directed to appear before the council and submit a formal written apology over the incident, as authorities continue to address the matter and maintain order within the palace.
