Papoose is keeping his lyrical feud with 50 Cent going.
The Brooklyn rapper released a new diss track titled “Agent Provocateur” yesterday, sharing a short visual for the song on Instagram. The track marks his second musical response aimed at the G-Unit founder as their ongoing rivalry continues to spill onto social media and into the studio.
Over production by Ron Browz, Papoose challenges 50 Cent’s reputation and revisits one of the most well-known stories tied to the rapper’s past.
“He was a crab in a barrel until Eminem picked him,” Papoose raps in the song. “His claim to fame was I got shot nine times.”
He continues by questioning that narrative, adding, “But the truth is he only got shot five times.”
The visual clip accompanying the release features comedic imagery that plays off several of Papoose’s bars. The video was directed by Will C and Tana.
In the caption of his Instagram post, Papoose appeared to reference the ongoing back-and-forth between the two rappers.
“Been stted on this hating a chump,” he wrote. “I was just waiting for the fight to be over.”
The new release follows a recent freestyle in which Papoose also criticized 50 Cent while rapping over the instrumental from the rapper’s 2003 track “Many Men.”
