Mustard has secured a major “W” in his ongoing custody dispute with ex-wife Chanel Thierry.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the producer, whose legal name is Dijon McFarlane, has been granted authority to make final decisions regarding their children’s education through August 2026. The ruling applies specifically to educational matters involving their three children.
The decision follows concerns raised in court about social media activity. A judge determined that some of Thierry’s posts violated an existing agreement requiring both parents to avoid making negative or disrespectful comments about each other in front of their children. As a result, Mustard was given tie-breaking authority in situations where the parents could not agree on school decisions. In addition to the ruling, both parties have been ordered to participate in co-parenting therapy to improve communication.
Mustard has also been instructed to provide a list of therapists for Thierry to review.
Despite the findings, the court declined to impose the requested financial penalties.
A representative for Thierry told the outlet that the decision is temporary and limited in scope.
Mustard and Chanel Thierry ended their marriage after several years together, with their split becoming public in 2022 when Mustard filed for divorce. The producer cited irreconcilable differences at the time, and the separation quickly turned contentious as the two fought to resolve issues involving custody, finances, and co-parenting.
