Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner are denying Ray J’s long-standing claims about the release of Kardashian’s infamous 2007 sex tape.
According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, both Kardashian and Jenner recently filed sworn declarations addressing Ray J’s accusations that the tape’s release had been strategically planned.
In her statement, Kardashian rejected the allegation that she and her family orchestrated the situation for publicity.
“Ray J’s claim that I had a plan with my mother and others to release a sex tape, defraud the public, and file a fake lawsuit to create buzz is a lie,” Kardashian said in the filing.
Jenner also disputed the claim that she played any role in producing or distributing the video.
“As a mother, the notion that I orchestrated or produced sex tapes involving my daughter is entirely untrue,” Jenner said. “It is deeply offensive and harmful.”
The filings are part of an ongoing legal battle between the former couple. Kardashian and Jenner sued Ray J for defamation in October, alleging that his public comments about the tape damaged their reputations.
Ray J later responded with a countersuit, claiming that Kardashian and Jenner had violated an earlier agreement that prohibited anyone involved from discussing the tape publicly.
Jenner also accused Ray J of continuing to harass her daughter through repeated public claims.
