Justin Timberlake’s 2024 DWI arrest is back in the spotlight after newly released police footage surfaced following a legal agreement.
In the video, obtained after a court-approved release, the singer is seen interacting with officers during a traffic stop in Sag Harbor, New York. “Guys, I’m just following my friends back to my house,” Timberlake tells police after being pulled over.
He later adds, “Yeah, I’m on tour… I’m on a world tour,” before identifying himself, saying, “It’s hard to explain… I’m Justin Timberlake.”
Officers conducted a series of sobriety tests, during which Timberlake is heard saying, “These are, like, hard tests,” and “My heart’s racing.”
According to police, he was arrested after leaving a restaurant and charged with driving while intoxicated, along with traffic violations. An officer is heard telling a companion at the scene, “He failed every single test.”
Timberlake later reached a plea agreement in the case, resolving the charges with a lesser offense. His legal team had previously argued he was “not intoxicated.”
The footage was released after Timberlake agreed to allow a redacted version to be made public, following concerns raised about privacy.
