Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has spoken about a difficult part of her life, revealing that she used to struggle with anger when she was younger.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the actress shared this while speaking on the Afropolitan Show.
According to the movie star, the challenges her family faced during her childhood affected her deeply and made her react to life with anger.
She explained that losing her father at a young age left her with many painful feelings that she did not know how to handle at the time.
She said that although she had already committed her life to Christianity and could not direct her anger toward God, she still carried a lot of frustration within herself.
“I used to be very aggressive. When I was younger, I used to be very aggressive because I used to have a lot of rage. I think from the time I lost my dad, I couldn’t blame God because I gave my life to Christ, but inside, I was looking for someone to blame. I don’t know if I was looking for it, but I was just angry at life. Why me? Why did I deserve this?
“And life just went really bad for us. I was like, it’s not fair, and I just had very little patience. But I have grown, with maturity, God, and life. That part of me, has it ever come around me anymore? I’ve had it come maybe once in a blue moon, and I hate the feeling,” she revealed.
