Braylon Howard is speaking out after allegations surfaced about his father, former NBA star Dwight Howard.
The 17-year-old son of Howard and reality television personality Royce Reed addressed the situation in a video shared online over the weekend. His comments came after Howard’s estranged wife, Amy Luciani, publicly accused the retired athlete of struggling with drug addiction.
“My mama crazy, my side of the family crazy, I’m crazy,” Braylon said in the clip. “I hope you getting the help you need, but I told y’all, man.”
Braylon suggested he had long been aware of issues within the family, saying the situation was something he had “been known” about.
“That’s something right there I will never do,” he added. “But I’ve been known.”
Luciani first made the accusations in a shocking yet emotional video posted online, where she claimed Child Protective Services had visited their home multiple times and that their daughter had been removed from the residence.
“I’ve been trying to tell everybody he needs some help,” Luciani said in the clip. “I live with him, and he needs some help.”
Howard has not publicly responded to the claims. The controversy comes as the couple moves forward with divorce proceedings after marrying in January 2025. Royce Reed has also spoken publicly, saying her concerns about the situation go back years.
