Shia LaBeouf is at the center of complaints from members of a New Orleans tennis club following a series of disturbances near the club’s property.
According to a notice sent to members of the New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club, officials warned of issues involving a “new neighboring resident whose continued outbursts have affected the club environment.” Sources say the resident referenced is LaBeouf, who lives across from one of the club’s exits.
Members were advised not to engage. The notice stated the club is asking individuals “not to engage or respond to the resident” and to report incidents to management. It also said the club is working with the New Orleans Police Department “to resolve this matter and ensure the continued tranquility of the club.”
Sources allege LaBeouf has had unpredictable interactions with people entering and leaving the property. He has reportedly offered members money to play tennis and interrupted clinics. The actor is not a member of the club.
Police were seen speaking with LaBeouf outside his home in recent days, though it is unclear if that interaction was connected to the complaints.
LaBeouf has faced legal issues in the past, including recent arrests in New Orleans tied to disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He has also been involved in a civil lawsuit alleging abuse against singer, FKA Twigs, which he settled.
He has not publicly addressed the latest situation.
