Britney Spears has secured a permanent restraining order against a man she says has been harassing her for years.
According to court documents, the singer requested legal protection after a 51-year-old Louisiana man allegedly made repeated online posts about her and later appeared at her Los Angeles home. Britney said she does not know the man and has never had any relationship with him.
Her security team reported the situation after spotting the man near the property in 2025. A security guard contacted law enforcement, and deputies responded to the scene.
Authorities later took the man into custody for trespassing. Court filings state that deputies observed unusual behavior during the encounter and noted that he made several incoherent comments while being arrested.
Britney’s legal filing said the man had been posting about her on social media since 2013. Her team described the messages as disturbing and said some could be interpreted as threatening.
One post mentioned the phrase “bullet hole heart,” which her team said raised concerns about her safety.
A judge granted Britney a permanent restraining order requiring the man to remain at least 100 yards away from her at all times. The order is scheduled to remain in place until 2030.
