Ray J’s mother, Sonja Norwood, is publicly defending her son amid his ongoing lawsuit with the Kardashians
Norwood shared a passionate message on Facebook on March 12 following recent legal filings in which Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, denied playing a role in the release of the 2007 tape that first drew widespread attention.
In her post, Norwood questioned the claims and expressed frustration about how her son has been discussed online.
“After reading the declarations from Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian and seeing statements circulating across media outlets, I am no longer going to sit back and watch my son be ‘dogged’ on social media over this matter,” she wrote.
Norwood also addressed Jenner directly in the message, challenging the explanation surrounding the tape’s release.
“And Kris, momager, you say you did not orchestrate the commercial release of the tape. Then who did?” she asked.
The singer and manager also voiced their support for Ray J as he continues to speak publicly about the situation.
“I support Ray J and his journey to bring the truth forward,” Norwood wrote. “However long it takes, we will stay on that path until the voices that have distorted the truth are publicly revealed.”
