DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police public relations officer, made this known in a statement signed and uploaded on the command’s Facebook page on Saturday.

According to Ikenga, the rescue was launched by its Forward Operating Base, which includes military troops and paramilitary services stationed in Aguata and is assisted by the Police Rapid Response Squad Awkuzu.

During the operation, three people were apprehended, nine vehicles and three Pump Action pistols, stolen camouflage clothing, and a Biafra flag were recovered, according to the statement.

“Also recovered were stolen camouflage uniforms, Biafra flags, several handsets, flash drives, and Sim cards that will aid a comprehensive investigation and prosecution” Ikenga stated.
