Nigerian gospel singer, Theophilus Sunday, known for his fiery preaching and being a prayer advocate, stunned his fans when he unveiled Ashlee White as his wife-to-be on social media.

“As it pleases the Lord!” he captioned the social media post where he shared their pre-wedding shots.

Details about the bride-to-be are sketchy, but a visit to her Instagram handle shows she is into real estate and uses her social media platform to market her business.

As of now, the date for the marital rites is unknown.

Theophilus Sunday, who is known for his “spiritual chants,” is also famous for his song “Adua Kee.” He released “Out of My Belly” in 2022.

He is the team leader of a ministry, 1Spirit, and the music director of his home church, Peculiar Church of Glory, in Anyigba, Kogi State.

Tuesday’s unveiling of the fiancée comes weeks after another Nigerian gospel singer, Moses Bliss, married Marie Wiseborn, a UK-based Ghanaian legal practitioner.

Moses Bliss, and Theophilus Sunday’s latest move has got Nigerians talking. Many of them wondered when other single male gospel singers would emulate these singers.

Babatunde Olusola quizzed, “Why are Nigerian male gospel singers marrying women from other countries? Our church girls too are red flags?, Shola queried.”

Reacting to Olusola’s post, Sandra Kingsley said, “Don’t mind them; I don’t like this attitude. If they leave Nigerian ladies and marry outsiders, what will the Nigerian ladies do now?

Olusola replied, Lmaooo, they don’t owe y’all anything, though.” Sandra insisted, “They owe Nigerian ladies; let’s all marry ourselves here and be happy.”
