The VAC Solution, described by NSPM as an interactive, user-friendly, and secure interface, has been meticulously designed to streamline and automate the verification process and transcript requests. This groundbreaking solution expedites verification, enhances resource utilization, promotes transparency and accountability, provides robust analytics, and, most importantly, ensures the authenticity and credibility of educational and professional credentials.

The official virtual launch event is scheduled for Thursday, September 14th, at 10:00 am via the Zoom platform.

Mr. Ahmed Halilu mni, Managing Director & Chief Executive of NSPM, emphasized that the VAC Solution aims to simplify the process of verifying educational and professional credentials for tertiary institutions, organizations, and individuals. It offers a secure means to manage and verify certificates and facilitates the request for transcripts. Additionally, the platform equips institutions with a convenient way to process requests through secure and encrypted Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), positioning the VAC Solution as the go-to platform for credential verification and authentication in Nigeria.

As part of the launch event, NSPM will host a virtual launch webinar under the theme, ‘Credential Verification in the Digital Age: Leveraging Innovative Technologies to Prevent Forgery, Fortify Documents, and Protect Institutional Reputation.’ This event will bring together key stakeholders and industry leaders to discuss the critical role of technology in preventing forgery of educational credentials while safeguarding the reputation of institutions nationwide.

The keynote speaker for the virtual launch is Mr. Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi, the acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. The panel of experts will include Professor Lilian Salami, Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin; Dr. Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul, Registrar of the University of Ibadan; Mr. Ganiyu Oke Saliu, Assistant Director of the Human Resources Department at the Central Bank of Nigeria; Mr. Omolola Adegbenga; and Mr. Ade Bajomo, President of FinTech Nigeria.

Mr. Ahmed Halilu emphasized the opportunities that technological solutions offer in improving the credential verification process, highlighting the efficiency and accuracy enhancements that digital innovation can bring to the forefront. He stated, “The goal is to harness the power of technological solutions to bring about efficiency, accuracy, security, and convenience in the verification process, benefiting educational and professional institutions, employers, graduates, and other stakeholders.”
