Peter Obi is corrupt like Yahaya Bello
Reno Omokri has alleged that the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, diverted state resources to invest in his bank.
Omokri noted that monies that could have been used to build schools for the people of Anambra were used by the Labour Party chieftain to invest in Fidelity Bank, a financial institution allegedly owned by him.
Omokri, who in his statement on Saturday mentioned that “in terms of developmental projects, Yahaya Bello is better than Peter,” urged the former governor of Anambra State to sue him if his arguments are not factual.
“But how is Peter Obi better than Yahaya Bello? Yahaya Bello allegedly used state funds to pay for his children’s school fees. Peter Obi used state funds to invest in his bank. Close to $35 million,” Omokri said.
“Money that was earning interest for his bank, Fidelity Bank. Interest that was going into his pocket.
“That was why he refused to build even a single nursery school for eight years. If he built schools with the money, how would he make money from it in his bank?” he queried.
“If I am lying, let Peter Obi sue me. I have all the facts.
“In terms of developmental projects, Yahaya Bello is better than Peter Obi. In terms of corruption and conflict of interest, none is better,” he added.
